If you are a recovering people-pleaser, you've come to the right place. ​

It's REALLY hard to say no to things when you've been expected to say yes all your life. When we are taught to put our needs behind the needs of others, we never learn how to check in with ourself to make aligned decisions. For most of us, that means packing our calendars full with minimal time for rest and reflection. 

This is where resentment and exhaustion enter the scene. 

I don't know about you, but I was tired of feeling this way. I was mad at everyone -- my friends and family for having the **audacity** to ask for my help (despite the fact that I have complete control over what I commit to), and myself for constantly giving in. 

The problem was that I had no idea how to do things differently. When I said yes to everything, I was connected to others but super disconnected from myself. When I tried saying no to everything, I had better self-care but it made me feel really disconnected from others. I missed out on fun times because I was trying so desperately to be a boundary queen. The "no" became as automatic as my "yes" was. I was just replacing one behavior with another.  

Making aligned decisions means checking in with yourself -- even more specifically, checking in with your head, your heart and your gut. Thoughts, feelings and instincts. 

I created a few worksheets to help you walk yourself through this process. Our "Before Saying YES" worksheet walks you through some questions to ask yourself before making a commitment. Our "Making Aligned Decisions" worksheet helps you look at all of your options and consider head, heart and gut.
