Neuroaffirming  Support Group  for Autistic Adults in Greensboro, NC

You don't need to be fixed. You deserve space to be understood.

Many autistic adults grow up receiving messages—directly or indirectly—that the way they think, communicate, move, rest, connect, or exist is somehow "wrong." Over time, those messages can become internalized, leading to self-criticism, masking, burnout, shame, and the feeling that you are constantly working to meet expectations that were never designed with you in mind.

This 8-week virtual support group is designed specifically for autistic adults who want to explore what it means to move from self-correction toward self-compassion.

Together, we'll examine the impact of internalized ableism, explore autistic identity through a neuroaffirming lens, and practice building a more supportive relationship with ourselves. Rather than focusing on changing autistic traits, this group focuses on understanding them, honoring them, and developing tools that support authentic living.

Whether you're newly identified as autistic, late-diagnosed, self-identified, or have known for years, you are welcome here.

Our Approach

At Little Seed Counseling, we believe autism is a natural variation of human neurodiversity—not a disorder that needs to be cured. This group is grounded in neuroaffirming values, disability justice principles, and compassion-focused practices. Our goal is to create a space where autistic adults can explore their experiences, connect with others, and practice extending themselves the same understanding they so often offer everyone else.
