Individual Therapy

We believe all individuals are born with both a "being" and a "knowing. As we grow, emphasis is placed on "doing" and we lose sight of who we are, what we need and how we connect with others.

We help people get back to that core knowledge of self that has been lost. We help people get out of their own way and get back "home".

We work with:

anxiety
depression
addiction
codependency
PTSD and complex trauma
infertility
grief/loss

We are trauma informed, LGBTQ+, BLM and fat friendly, and HAES affirming.

Addiction Recovery Therapy

Addiction
is devastating to the entire family system. Early recovery, specifically, is very difficult to navigate alone. We help those with substance use problems and their loved ones.

While codependency is possible within relationships with people who don’t have substance use disorders, codependency is a common occurrence for family members and loved ones of addicts.

Working with a therapist who can act as an important member of your family’s support network during early recovery is beneficial for every member of the family.

Jena has almost a decade of experience working with addicts/alcoholics and their families.

Trauma and Complex Trauma Therapy

Our counselor, Jena Plummer, has a passion for working with trauma survivors. She believes it is important that we understand what trauma looks like (it isn't just for combat veterans!) and the impact it can have on how we see ourselves and interact in the world.

Jena is a clinical certified trauma specialist and a clinical certified trauma professional- level 2, which means she has developed the skills and expertise to treat both PTSD and CPTSD.

Jena uses EMDR, CPT and IFS as helping tools.

Inner Child Work and Reparenting

Jena works with those who have estranged, damaged or unhealthy relationships with their parents/guardians. She specializes in helping folks learn how to disarm their inner critic and foster a relationship with the inner loving parent they never had. Jena works with many parents-to-be as they navigate learning how to tend to themselves and their children in an effort to break generational trauma.

Couples Therapy

Healthy relationships build us up and offer the safety we need to try new things and make tough choices. Unhealthy relationships keep us down and make us feel unsafe and vulnerable in all areas of our lives. Most people have relationships that fall somewhere between these two extremes or that can be healthy/unhealthy at different times.

No partnership is perfect – no matter what you see on Instagram! Whether you’re building a new relationship, sustaining a thriving partnership, or healing after infidelity, couples counseling can help you grow closer to your loved one and create a deeper, more meaningful connection.

“You are not supposed to be happy all the time. Life hurts and it’s hard. Not because you’re doing it wrong, but because it hurts for everybody. Don’t avoid the pain. You need it. It’s meant for you. Be still with it, let it come, let it go, let it leave you with the fuel you’ll burn to get your work done on this earth.” - Glennon Doyle
